The Calgary Civic Symphony kicks off their 2012/13 season with Music Director Rolf Bertsch, featuring two of Canada’s hottest young violinists, Colleen and Alicia Venables. They will perform Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins in D minor, also known as Bach Double. One of the most famous works by J.S. Bach, this piece is considered among the best examples of the work of the late Baroque period.

Programme also includes Ridout's Fall Fair, prelude to Wagner’s greatest opera, Parsifal, and the grandeur of Sibelius’ ever-popular 2nd Symphony!
