About The Playhouse North School of Theatre:
The Playhouse North offers a wide variety of intensive programs designed to provide top-of-the-line theatrical training to artists who not only want to dedicate their time to their respective crafts (acting, singing, dancing), but also want to incorporate a sense of higher purpose in their educational journey. Our programs are practical in nature and are geared toward uncovering true artistic talent and developing professional actors. The Playhouse North School of Theatre Two Year Intensive Acting program was started 4 years ago by the Director of the Program, Cindy Vanden Enden. Cindy is a graduate of the world-renowned Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, in New York City. Cindy has acted professionally in New York, Toronto and Calgary. Cindy also co-founded and is the Artistic Director of ColdWater Theatre Society. Cindy Vanden Enden recently obtained her teacher training certificate from the Neighborhood Playhouse, making her the only practicing certified Meisner teacher in all of Canada, and one of only 10 in North America.
