In support of Calgary's Culture Month and Alberta Arts Days (http://culture.alberta.ca/artsdays/), The City of Calgary Public Art Program is pleased to present an international artist panel taking place on Thursday, September 17, 2009.
Artists Sans Facon (http://www.sansfacon.co.uk/), Lorna Jordan (www.lornajordan.com), Stuart Keeler and Vancouver-artist Paul Slipper (http://paulslipper.ca/) will be discussing “What impact can/does public art have on a community?” Each participant will be given 15 – 20 minutes to discuss past and current projects, with a question and answer period to follow. A cash bar and light refreshments will be available.
The panel is scheduled for 5:30pm on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the City of Calgary Water Centre (25th Avenue and Spiller Road S.E.). Free parking is available in the gravel lot to the south of the building.
